World of its Own

A series of paintings that depict the feeling of isolation and loneliness. The images I depicted are based on different stories and novels that I have felt a connection with in terms of the characters feelings of isolation and coping with the feeling of being alone. The title of the series comes the quotation "A book, it's a world all on its own," from the book More Than This by Patrick Ness; the piece Endless depicts the moment following this quotation..
