The Odyssey

A depiction of the "Release of the Four Winds" from Homer's The Odyssey made with pages from a copy of the text. I used layers of pages and sculpted paper to create a 3D effect of the action leaping out of the book. The piece is displayed on wood block "islands" that included additional origami recreations of other Odyssey scenes, such as Circe's pigs and the Cyclops' eye, all made of pages from the book.
